Simply Scrapbooking #1 : Overcome the Overwhelm
I am excited to challenge myself with a new scrapbooking process this year!
I have decided to reboot my yearly family albums in 2025, by scrapbooking through the year 2024 (last year) as this year progresses. I find that it is difficult for me to scrapbook out of season, and I'm very inspired by what's going on in nature at certain times of the year. So, I decided this is a perfect goal for me.
This is what it looks like:
• In January 2025, I scrapbook photos from January 2024.
• In February 2025, I scrapbook photos from February 2024, and so on.
Having simple goals like these, help me so much to overcome the overwhelm and just get crafting!
Not only does it help me to eliminate the agonizing " What should I work on?" battle, but it also helps me to plan better, to make sure my I get my prints ready for the following month. I've been using free prints from my phone, ordering every few months this past year, and it really helps! I'm very pleased with the matte finish, the affordable pricing, and ESPECIALLY THIS:
Free Prints now offers a location, time and date stamp on the back! As long as you have your settings turned on to record this as you're taking photos, it will be there to help you sort in the future. Hooray! 🎉
As I go through this year, I'm also thrilled to teach through my simple, scrapbooking processes: better layouts, in less time, for you!!
Here's a sneak peek on the starting point...
Overcome the Overwhelm
and JUST JUMP IN.
Step 1: I gathered wintry supplies.
Step 2: I pulled out a packet of photos from last winter.
Curious which photos I chose?
I'll teach the creation process in my next posts, with the label "Simply Scrapbooking" so you can follow along this year.
What would make YOU really happy at the end of this year?
What crafting goals do you have in mind, or do you need help deciding? I'm here for you. Don't hesitate to reach out, and set up a quick phone call or coffee date so we can come up with a plan.
